Three Scientific Proofs for Quantum Entanglement Cont’d
In the previous post, we considered how sub-atomic articles are entangled at the quantum level.
Now you’re aware that sub-atomic particles are interconnected by an invisible force and can communicate faster than the speed of light (it already sounds like a sci-fi story doesn’t it), are you ready for the really freaky part?
You might recall from grade school science that atoms make up molecules, and molecules make up everything we know as matter. H2O is a molecule we all know and love in its physical form as water.
Sub-atomic particles are what atoms are made up of, and their names reflect the times like ‘quarks’ and ‘mesons’. Common examples of particles would be an electron spinning around the atom, or the proton found in its nucleus.
When broken apart, they exist pre-physically, as potential atoms or possibilities of clusters of atoms. Physicists refer to these as ‘potentialities’.
So, it should come as no surprise that these particles can exist in multiple locations at the same time should it? This is not a typo!
It has been proven that a single particle of matter can be in multiple positions at the same time. There are even current debates among physicists about how many places one particle can occupy, with a current range of between 2 and 3000 depending on who you believe.
Now for most people, this concept is impossible to visualize because we experience our world in a very ‘set’ state of things. However, video can be a brilliant tool to describe this bizarre and difficult concept in an easy to understand format; especially a cartoon video!
