Celebrating my first book-related speaking event with this post!
I was invited to speak about my book at a weekly breakfast, sponsored by a local networking group (www.tbra.org.au), and met a lovely group of professionals yesterday.
This was the first time I’ve publicly promoted the book, and I truly enjoyed the experience more than anticipated! During the 20 minutes of platform time, I was inspiring and motivated to see the response from the group, and I’ve since learned the consensus opinion was positive.
I’ve spoken on numerous occasions on many subjects, but never about my own philosophy. It was invigorating to promote my work instead of someone else’s!
As a motivational author, speaking to small groups offers a valuable opportunity to test content and receive feedback prior to publishing.
Local networking groups or leads clubs are always looking for motivational speakers, so if that is your niche as an author, these groups can provide valuable opportunities to promote your content!
