Is Nine the Perfect Number?

Is Nine the Perfect Number?

I’m considering using the cliché, “A Stitch in Time Saves Nine” as a chapter in the second book of my Reading Between The Lines, The Hidden Power of Language series, so I’ve been researching the number nine.

The first thing I discovered was a mathematical mindbender for me because, despite having a degree in banking and finance, I had never come across this anomaly before.  We all learn our times tables as kids, so let’s consider the number nine’s table:

 1 x 9 = 9

2 x 9 = 18

3 x 9 = 27

4 x 9 = 36

At a glance, there is nothing special about this table of mathematics, but when you apply theosophical numerology to multiples of the number nine, it ALWAYS reduces to itself.

blackboardTheosophical numerology uses a reduction of multiple digit numbers to arrive at a single number.  This reduction is achieved through adding the digits, of a multiple digit number, together to achieve a single number.  When we apply this methodology to the multiples of the number nine we get:

 1 x 9 = 9 = 9

2 x 9 = 18 = 1 + 8 = 9

3 x 9 = 27 = 2 + 7 = 9

4 x 9 = 36 = 3 + 6 = 9

What blows me away is you can pick ANY multiple of nine, and the reduction works every time; unlike any other number:

 2012 x 9 = 18,108

1+ 8 + 1 + 0 + 8 = 18

1 + 8 = 9

or

1,697,754 x 9 = 15,279,786

 1+5+2+7+9+7+8+6 = 45 = 4+5 = 9

The number nine obviously has more importance in our world than you may think, and I’m only now discovering its potential impact on our experience of reality.  How can we utilise this knowledge for our benefit?  I will provide answers to that question in the book!

I’ll leave one last example of the number nine with you for contemplation.  It is associated with something we all experience to some extent; our moon.

Our moon actually has a repeating, orbital cycle which is 18 years in length.  You do the numbers…
