Duplicate Content Dilemma
As a newbie blogger, I’m still learning about the massive bloggersphere (my word, meaning the whole blog community concept) available to everyone on the net, and I learned a valuable lesson today about duplicate content.
Three weeks ago, I published a couple of posts prior to getting all of my search engine optimization in order, Today, I decided to re-post one of my previous posts, and added a tag line stating it was a repost.
Thanks to my recent research and interaction with blog networks like mybloglog, I received a warning message (thanks Rc ) telling me that reposting was a big no-no from a search engine’s point of view, and my blog could be blocked due to violating the Google webmaster agreement.
I panicked and deleted both posts about solving writer’s block (the cure is to leave the keyboard behind and go experience life, nature and family for as long as it takes for the muse to return), but then I went and did some more Google research…this is what I found:

unique content is a big challenge, but is really important!
I often have posts on one website that are imminently relevant to another website, so I end up rewriting or just giving a short reference from one site to the other. Thanks for your reminder
